Our Vision

In 2012, a handful of families began Christ Community Church after years spent in the faith at Lakeview Christian Center in New Orleans. Since then, God has grown our faith family and answered prayer after prayer as we seek to be a vehicle for God’s grace to touch lives on the Northshore. Our vision can easily been understood from our name.

Christ: We desire for Christ to be preeminent in all things (Colossians 1:18)…in every aspect of our lives. We strive for Christ to occupy first place in our hearts, our homes, our neighborhoods, our workplaces, and our church. To set Christ as preeminent is to exalt his redeeming work through his life, death, and resurrection. We want to behold the glory of  God in the face of Jesus (2 Corinthians 4:6) and experience his love that compels us to obedience. We desire to see his worthiness and greatness so it will be displayed through us.

Community: We are convinced that God calls us out of the darkness and into his light as expressed in the community of believers as the local expression of the body of Christ. We are joined together to fellowship, grow, and serve with one another as we journey in becoming more like Christ. We pray to be a family of God as CCC. We will strive to love one another toward the glory of Christ when it’s easy and when it gets hard. Community that engenders care, encouragement, and loyalty to God’s redeemed. We also desire to be a charismatic family of God seeking the gifting and fruits supplied by the Holy Spirit.

Church: God’s mission is to cover the earth with the knowledge of the glory of Jesus. We, as his disciples, participate in his mission by being transformed by his glory in order to go display it in a lost and hurting world. We desire for the Lord to use us so the light of Christ will reach our neighbors and the nations.
